Understand recognition across borders.
International quality assurance can support benchmarking and institutional improvement. It must be evaluated in the context of the institution’s operating jurisdiction, intended learners and recognition objectives. It does not automatically confer US or Canadian operating or degree-awarding authority.

Begin with the right questions
An international quality label is not automatically equivalent to US Department of Education-recognized institutional accreditation. Confirm the purpose and limits directly with the relevant authorities.
Questions before you begin
Can international accreditation replace a state license?
No such equivalence should be assumed. Operating authorization and degree authority are separate jurisdiction-specific matters.
What should I prepare for an initial consultation?
Bring a short overview of your institution, current operating and licensing status, program plans, intended market and the decisions you need help making. Avoid including confidential student or financial records in an initial inquiry.
What happens after the initial discussion?
A proposed engagement should define the workstreams, deliverables, responsibilities, specialist involvement and commercial terms. No regulator or accreditor decision is represented as assured.
